While there are alternatives I would recommend people avoid supporting these companies.
The three issues I'll list at present are:
*The use of aborted baby tissue to for flavouring.
*Illegal money laundering to hide donations (bribes) to influence labelling laws for GM foods.
*Deceptive labelling stating products are organic when they are not.
Human Embryonic Kidney (HEK) - Foetal tissue used in food.
If my health is affected by scientists creating death, that is one thing but for me the top of the evil list is the use of HEK, particularly as a flavour enhancer.

Labelling Deceptions
Dr.Organics products
I purchased Dr.Organics "Organic Pomegranate Toothpaste". Don't be deceived; it is loaded with chemicals so it is nothing to do with what is good for you or bad for you - chemical preservatives, fluoride etc. It's "organic" as in, it has carbon chain elements in it.
When I returned it, the manager said I should have read the ingredients and also that it was the manufacturers issue.
We shouldn't have to take our reading glasses and chemistry book into a health shop when we buy products labelled Organic. I had checked the bold labelling very carefully for deception but didn't have my glasses to read the small print ingredients.
While the manufactures are unethical leaches, the health shop does have a duty of care to its customers. Knowing their customers are being deceived they are just as unethical and money hungry as the manufacturer. The woman who told me it was my problem (though she did take the toothpaste back) has been the same one who has been previously, friendly one who has discussed the manipulation of medicines and products in the past.
Its their shop, they choose what to sell not me, but deceiving customers should be illegal.
Dr.Organics do this with their Castile Soap also.
Not all organic advertised food or products is organic. Check the certification. Also be aware that organic certification may only be for one or two ingredients in the product, not the entire package deal.
Olive Oil
Be aware that Olive oil may not be pure or virgin though it states it on the label. Even experts can't taste the difference between virgin Olive oil and those that have other cheaper oils mixed in to increase profit. It is probably not the grower that is spiking their oil but the middle men. Expensive brands are not exempt. To be sure that you do have pure virgin Olive oil the best way to tell without having it chemically tested is to know the grower and buy local.
Olive Oil has a shelf life of about 2 years. Based on this, if your Olive Oil goes rancid quickly and the date is more recent it possibly had another oil such as Canola which has a poor shelf life. Note any brands of Olive oil that do this and don't buy them and let others know too.
